DVG as a Resource
As the field of philanthropy grows and changes, we must
rely upon the networks and resources in our region to stay
informed. Membership in DVG provides grantmakers with the
knowledge, tools
and connections they require
to be more thoughtful and effective in their work.
DVG's informative programs feature regional and national
speakers on a variety of topics relevant to philanthropy.
Through affinity group programming for Corporate
Donors, Family Foundations and Health
Conversion Foundations, DVG brings like-minded funders
together to discuss specific funding issues, share best
practices, and benchmark their giving in relation to their
colleagues. Our issue-focused groups such as Women and Girls Funders and Food Funders provide additional opportunities for members to come together around topics of mutual interest.
Adding value to membership is DVG's ability to provide
access to a national network of grantmakers
through our affiliation with the Council on Foundations
and the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers.
DVG also offers a variety of printed and electronic resources.
Representatives of the media, city and state legislature,
financial and estate planning professionals, and nonprofit
groups are encouraged to subscribe to our quarterly newsletter
and use our website to keep apprised of the latest issues
facing the philanthropic sector.
Since 1988, DVG has dedicated itself to serving the regional
philanthropic community. To learn more about Delaware Valley
