dollars awarded by Pennsylvania foundations.
Southwestern Pennsylvania enjoyed consistent annual growth,
resulting in an 85% increase.
Southeastern Pennsylvania experienced erratic ups and downs,
resulting in moderate growth with a 16% increase.
Northwestern Pennsylvania experienced erratic ups and
downs, with a 13% increase.
Northeastern Pennsylvania grants increased during the
mid- 1990s, then decreased 60% overall by the end of 1999.
