Principles and Practices for Grantmakers

Values, Guiding Principles and Best Practices for DVG Members

DVG’s Board of Directors officially adopted the organization’s Statement of Values, Guiding Principles and Best Practices for DVG Members (PDF) in September 2004.

Establishing these principles demonstrates DVG’s commitment to sustaining the public trust by promoting the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and governance for grantmakers in our region. DVG has already incorporated many of the tenets of this statement into its programming and communications, and will continue to provide members with ongoing education and information about sound approaches and best practices for effective and responsible philanthropy.
